ONDO STATE DEVELOPMENT UNIONS SEEK TINUBU, APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN'S INTERVENTION OVER PRINCIPAL 

 Ondo State Development Unions in Nigeria and diaspora have examined the issue of political marginalization of elected lawmakers from Ondo State in the selection/election of Principal officers of National Assembly, Abuja, since the advent of democracy in 1999. It saddens the entire Ondo State to hear that none of the Senators and members of the House of Representatives they have been electing since 1999 has occupied the position of Principal member of National Assembly and reverse is the case of other South West states of Nigeria. They claimed that this is nothing but political marginalization and it has undermined and alienated Ondo State. Given the fact that all the South West states except Ondo State have produced one or more Principal members at one time or the other. The unions who addressed press in Akure urged the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is coincidentally the Asiwaju of Yoruba Land to see the political marginalization of Ondo State as a challenge to him and as a National assignment to him to correct the ungodly mistake in the 9th Assembly. They urged him to genuinely work with the leadership of APC and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari to ensure that the only ranking Senator from the state, Professor Ajayi Boroffice is considered for the position of Deputy Senate President while the only ranking House member from the state, Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin is also considered for the Principal officer's position. The National President of Ondo State Development Union, Chief Bayo Ogunleye said it is apt to remind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu that the elected National Assembly members from Ondo State have been playing good roles in selection of their counterparts from other South West states as Principal members most especially Hon Femi Gbajabiamila as majority Leader in the present 8th Assembly in the Green Chamber. Not only him but others like Dimeji Bankole, Teslim Folarin, Gbenga Aluko, Olubunmi Etteh, Senator Adeyeye, Yusuf Lasun etc. It is on record that nobody from Ondo State has ever occupied the Principal officer position since 1999. He said Ondo State people stood by Obafemi Awolowo from Ogun State when he wanted to rule Nigeria. They stood by Chief MKO Abiola from Ogun State and Bola Tinubu himself when ex President Olusegun Obasanjo withheld allocation of Local Government councils in Lagos State. He said it has been part of the state culture to stand by anybody aspiring for good office from the region. He opined that this is the time the state need the support of other South West States. He said this is the time they need the support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and all the lawmakers elect from the South West region. Other Speaker at the event, Mr Ajayi Obaniyi, said that they weren't unaware that some Senators elect have been lobbying and scheming to become Principal member from South West in the 9th Assembly but he urged the leadership of APC led by the by indefatigable National Chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the National Working Committee members to consider Senator (Prof) Ajayi Boroffice for the position of Deputy Senate President and also solicited for the support of all the House members elect to consider Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin for the Principal member being a ranking member too.

BREAKING: Kidnapped DSP Found Dead In Edo Forest  The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Godwin Oshiogbuwe, who was abducted at Ubiaja, Esan South East local government has been found dead. His body was found Wednesday in a forest on Ubiaja-Ewohimi-Agbor road by a police tactical team in a pursuit of the kidnappers. Police sources said he was killed because the kidnappers found him to be a policeman through his police identification card and pictures in his mobile phone. Late DSP Oshiogbuwe hailed from Auchi in Edo state and served in Abuja before his death. It was learnt that the recovered body has since been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy. MY TAKE ON OYETOLA DECISION TO APPROACH THE APPEAL COURT-   Adeyemo speaks out.   I have this to say, we need to get things right, does anybody know the procedure of Appeal Court? With my own little knowledge on the field legal, We believe Appeal is to cross the proceeding of the lower court, and fix out the wrong process done by the Tribunal. Now, Oyetola and APC should remember that the INEC been the 1st defendant in the petition failed to defend the petition against them and they failed to file a no case submission as well, and while the 2nd and 3rd defendant (APC and Oyetola) also gave evidence contradiction in their defence and their evidence is not that tally with the evidence been presented by the petitioner.
